History
Robinson Piano Co., (Siam) Ltd. is the first, and leading piano company in Thailand. The company history dates back to 1927 where it was originally located at New Road (Charoen Krung Road). After WW II, in 1948 the company moved to Surawongse Road where it operated until late 1976. After the management of the company was passed on to the next generation in 1977, the showroom was relocated to Siam Center and later on to Siam Discovery, a move which aimed to modernize the company.

Early origins before World War II
1927 - 1940s

Robinson Piano Company was originally established as a partnership with Englishman Mr. Haydn, becoming the first piano company in Thailand, located at Charoen Krung Road.

Following the transition from the partnership, the company was formally incorporated under proprietary Thai ownership, pioneering the import of pianos from England to Thailand, introducing European piano craftsmanship to the Thai market.
Growth & Development
1948 - 1980s

The Company moved to Surawongse Road, with the next-generation continuing to manage and strengthen the company.

Committed to excellence, the company supported its next-generation leaders with studying piano manufacturing and technology in England, where they became the very first Thais in this field of study, bringing international expertise back to further develop and expand the company's presence in Thailand.

Robinson Music School was established on Soi 31 Sukhumvit Road as a premier destination for piano education in Thailand, offering distinguished instruction and fostering deep-rooted connections with generations of pianists.
Modern Era & Piano Prestige

In recognition of its position as Thailand's leading piano house, alongside its representation of a wide range of prestigious European piano brands, Robinson Piano Company was officially appointed as the Sole & Exclusive Dealer for Steinway & Sons Pianos in 1984.

The Company relocated to Siam Center, and then to Siam Discovery as part of its commitment to modernise its presence and ensure relevance in the evolving consumer landscape.

In a later phase, the Company refined its portfolio to focus on a monobrand boutique on Phloen Chit Road, aligning with the evolution of the luxury piano retail landscape toward focused brand experiences and the pursuit of instrument excellence.
